Flavour.ie Presents… Rock Steady Food Co Grub N Dub Club

Saturday 20th July, 7:30pm Tots Pub, Ballygurteen, West Cork

It’s been quite a while since Flavour.ie popped up with a talented crew putting out awesome plates of food in a barn in West Cork. But we are back, and this time we are bringing a taste of Jamaican Soul Food as Rock Steady Food Co roll into town with their Grub N Dub Club from the City of Rebels…

Rock Steady Food Co are friends and chefs Conor Lyons and Aaron Comerford. In 2018, they exploded onto Cork’s food scene with their range of authentic Caribbean-inspired hot and fruity sauces, meat rubs and cocktail mixers to accompany their pop up Jamaican-style Cook Out parties at Vicarstown Bar in Cork City.

Flavour.ie has been a big fan of their full-on flavour and high-octane energy right from the beginning. Their flavours are authentic, their food is fun and seriously delicious, and wherever they go, the music comes too!

Grub N Dub Club is all about the food, the fun and the flavours of Jamaica. Our soundtrack for the night is Reggae, Ska and Soundsystem. During the day, the food will have been slowly marinading in a heady mix of spice, citrus and herbs, then cooked slowly over charcoal to deliver divinely succulent morsels sweetened by smoke and zinging with flavour.

Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, snacks, starters, a family style main with sides, dessert and an awesome finale around our outdoor fire pit.

Each course will feature one or more of Rock Steady Food Co’s range of Caribbean Sauces and Condiments demonstrating not only their flavour but also their versatility. Afterwards, let the music take control! Our Reggae/Ska DJ set will have you working off all that food well into the night!

For veterans of Flavour.ie Pop Up events, you’ll know that our evenings are about great food, big flavours, conviviality and a whole lot of fun! For those coming for the first time, this is an evening to kick back, relax and enjoy great food in a hidden away, quirky venue. Our best advice? Go with the flow, and you’ll have a night you’ll never forget!
