The Artisan Food Guide is a story of all the artisan food producers in this corner of Ireland. We have more skilled food producers in West Cork than the whole of the rest of Ireland put together, and many of the people who work in this craft have stories of their own that capture the imagination.

This book is designed to guide you to these stories and story tellers who just also happen to make amazing and beautiful things to eat. Many of them can be visited, so I included a series of maps and suggested itineraries as well as the speciality food shops, farmers’ markets and other outlets where you can purchase these foods to savour as you wind you way around West Cork’s Atlantic coast line and mountainous interior.
